Our History

North Shore Electric is a family owned business which was founded in 1983, by Brian and Anna Lamberg.
Brian began his apprenticeship working for a local electrical contractor in 1975, working in vintage
North Shore homes and businesses. Brian learned early in his career how to install the most up to
date electrical systems while still maintaining the beauty and character of each building, since
working on older structures requires an understanding of how they were originally built.

Since our very first job, quality and personal pride has always been our primary concern. When we started
North Shore Electric, our philosophy was to be the very best electrical contractor for our customers.

Because of that philosophy, our company quickly grew from two electricians and a single truck working out
of a basement, to a small office and shop on Florence Avenue in Evanston and more electricians. As we
continued to grow we have now moved to a new location on Ridgeway in Skokie with larger facilities in a
more convenient location that is better to serve you. We have earned the trust and confidence of countless
customers, which has turned into long lasting relationships that are still strong today. These relationships
have made our best advertising the referrals from our satisfied clients.

We have worked on many diverse projects throughout the years, no matter the size of the job. We are always
willing and able to do the job correctly the first time, regardless if we are working on the high rises of
Chicago or simply changing a light bulb in an apartment.

Some notable projects are as follows:

- Renovations to the Varsity Theater retail stores
 - Complete renovation of several office buildings in Evanston, Winnetka, Glenview, Skokie, Lincolnwood and Chicago.
 - Several complete condo conversions in Evanston, Chicago and Winnetka.
 - Complete loft conversions in Evanston and Chicago
 - Electrical Service for the power system for the movie Home Alone 3
 - Hundreds of new homes for the Scattered Site Housing project throughout the City of Chicago
 - Pilot project for the Super Block Homes Development at the Henry Horner site and was dedicated by Henry Cisneros, Mayor Daley and President Clinton.
 - New home construction in Bannockburn, Chicago, Evanston, Glencoe, Glenview, Kenilworth, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Lincolnshire, Lincolnwood, Northbrook, Skokie, Wilmette and Winnetka, just to name a few.
 - Remodeling projects and service work throughout the Cook & Lake county area.
 - Local business development
 - Electrical projects for the City of Evanston & the City of Glenview
 - Renovations of various homes ranging from Frank Lloyd Wright homes to elite Actors' mansions

We still maintain the same family business model today as we did back in 1983. Our employees are part of our
family and are dedicated, caring stewards of North Shore Electric who always strive to do their very best on
each and every project, regardless of size or difficulty.

					Sincerely,
